Console users

You can add users to access the Enclave management console (EMC) and manage their permissions. Console users can be added to the Enclave management console under Settings > Console users.

INFO

Console users differ from agent users. Console users are users who can access the Enclave management console (EMC) and manage the Enclave deployment, while agent users are users who can access the Enclave agent on their device. Not all console users may be agent users, and not all agent users may be console users. Console users are typically administrators or managers who need to manage the Enclave deployment, while agent users are end-users who need to access resources within the Enclave network.

Default console user roles

There are three default roles available for console users:

  • Owner - Full access to all features and settings of the EMC. Owners can manage agents, configure settings, and access all modules.
  • Admin - All the permissions of an owner, but cannot delete the EMC or change ownership. Admins can manage agents, configure settings, and access all modules.
  • Manager - Limited access to the EMC. Managers can manage agents and view the dashboard, but cannot change settings or manage plugins.

Custom console user roles

If needed, we can allow creation of custom console user rules. This allows you to scope access to specific features of the EMC. For example, you can create a role that only allows users to view the dashboard and manage agents, but not change any settings or manage plugins.
